「東日本大震災が発生しました。東北の復興を実現するために、国民の絆を大切にしましょう。だから増税」（←増税は復興に逆効果。現状の日本だと国民所得が増大しなくなるため）

「社会保障の維持が必要です。だから増税」（←社会保障の維持に必要なのは、増税ではなく増収）

「貿易赤字になりました。このままでは国債を国内で消化できなくなります。だから増税」（←貿易赤字ではなく、経常収支の赤字にならない限り日本の過剰貯蓄状態は続く。が、そんな説明はしない）
